Where is Definly Chemicals located, and how does that affect my order?
Definly Chemicals (Shandong Definly Chemical Co., Ltd.) operates from Shandong Province, China — one of the country’s largest chemical manufacturing hubs. Our location gives buyers fast access to Qingdao Port (a top-10 global container port) and established freight corridors to India, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
What does Definly Chemicals manufacture?
We produce a focused product range across the PCE supply chain: PCE raw materials (TPEG/HPEG/EPEG macromonomer, 2-HEA, acrylic acid, 3-MPA), finished concrete admixtures (PCE superplasticizer, SNF), and complementary chemicals (sodium gluconate). This vertical integration lets us offer raw-material consistency that broad-line trading houses cannot match.
Who are your typical customers?
Our typical customers fall into four groups: PCE compounders running in-house polymerization (sourcing macromonomer plus monomers), ready-mix concrete producers (sourcing finished PCE), precast concrete plants (sourcing high-early-strength PCE), and construction chemical distributors carrying multiple Definly products in regional warehouses.
Products & Standards
What international standards do Definly’s products meet?
Our finished PCE meets GB 8076-2008 (China), ASTM C494 Type F (US, high-range water reducer), and EN 934-2 Type 11 (Europe). Raw materials comply with their respective specifications: 2-HEA ≥97%, glacial acrylic acid ≥99.5%, sodium gluconate industrial grade ≥98%. Third-party test reports accompany each shipment on request.
Can Definly customize PCE for my specific cement?
Yes. Our R&D team formulates custom PCE molecular structures by varying side-chain length (TPEG/HPEG/EPEG selection), charge density (carboxyl group ratio), and chain transfer agent (3-MPA) levels. This optimizes PCE compatibility with high-C3A cements, blended cements with fly ash or slag, and limestone-calcined-clay (LC3) cements.
Do you supply both raw materials and finished admixtures?
Yes. The integration is core to our business: our finished PCE is made from our own macromonomer, 2-HEA, and acrylic acid, eliminating multi-source variability. Customers can buy at any layer of the supply chain — in-house PCE plants buy raw materials; ready-mix producers buy finished admixtures.
What is the difference between PCE and SNF, and which should I use?
PCE (polycarboxylate ether) achieves 25–35% water reduction at 0.2–0.5% dosage and offers long slump retention; SNF (naphthalene sulfonate) achieves 18–25% water reduction at 0.5–1.0% dosage at lower unit cost. Choose PCE for high-strength, durable, or premium-finish concrete; SNF for cost-sensitive concrete in price-conscious markets.
Pricing & MOQ
How do I get a quote?
Email [email protected] or WhatsApp +86 186 6370 6930 with your product, quantity, destination port, and intended use. We respond within 24 business hours during Beijing time. Complex inquiries (custom PCE formulation, multi-product FCL consolidation) typically receive a detailed proposal within 2–3 business days.
Is your pricing FOB or CIF?
We quote FOB Qingdao as standard. CIF (your-port) is available on request — we coordinate with our forwarders and add freight plus insurance to the quote. CIF typically adds 8–15% to FOB depending on container size, port distance, and current freight rates.
What is the typical minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Sample orders start at 1 MT (drum/IBC packaging) for most products. Bulk container orders typically start at 20 MT (one 20-foot or 40-foot FCL). For acrylic acid and 2-HEA shipped via ISO tank, the minimum is one tank (~16–24 MT). Smaller orders (below 5 MT) are accommodated only when consolidated with other Definly products in a mixed-FCL shipment.
Logistics & Shipping
What shipping methods do you support?
We ship via FCL sea freight (20-foot or 40-foot containers, 20–28 MT), ISO tank (16–24 MT for liquid bulk), LCL sea freight (1–5 MT), and air freight (DHL/FedEx for samples below 200 kg). The right method depends on your quantity, destination, and product.
Which ports do you ship from?
Our standard departure port is Qingdao, with Shanghai available for select destinations. Both ports handle our entire product range and offer regular sailings to Mundra and Nhava Sheva (India), Ho Chi Minh/Manila/Jakarta (Southeast Asia), Hamburg/Rotterdam/Antwerp (Europe), Jebel Ali/Dammam (Middle East), and Lagos/Mombasa (Africa).
How long is sea transit to my country?
Typical Qingdao transit times: India 15–25 days; Southeast Asia 5–15 days; Middle East 18–22 days; Europe 25–30 days; Africa 25–35 days. Production lead time (10–15 days) adds to the total order-to-delivery window.
Can I consolidate multiple products in one container?
Yes — and it is often the most cost-effective option. A single 20 MT or 28 MT FCL can hold 3–5 different Definly products. A typical PCE compounder consolidation: 8 MT TPEG macromonomer + 3 MT 2-HEA + 5 MT sodium gluconate + 2 MT 3-MPA + 2 MT acrylic acid = full container.
Documentation & Compliance
What documents come with each shipment?
Each shipment includes Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Mill Test Certificate / Certificate of Analysis (per batch), MSDS in target-market language, Certificate of Origin (Form E for ASEAN, Form F for Pakistan, GSP Form A where applicable), and Dangerous Goods Declaration where required (acrylic acid, 2-HEA).
Are Definly’s products REACH compliant?
Most products fall into one of three REACH categories: (1) EINECS-listed (sodium gluconate, naphthalene sulfonate condensate) requiring no separate registration; (2) polymer-exempt (finished PCE); or (3) requiring import via a REACH-registered EU importer (acrylic acid, 2-HEA). We provide EU-format SDS on request.
Do you provide third-party test reports?
Yes. We provide third-party laboratory test reports (typically SGS or equivalent) on request, especially for orders entering BIS-certified, CE-marked, or otherwise regulated supply chains. Reports cover key parameters per product: PCE water reduction per ASTM/EN, sodium gluconate purity per HPLC, monomer assay per certified laboratory methods.
Payment Terms
What payment terms do you accept?
Standard terms: 30% TT in advance, 70% balance against scanned BL. Letter of Credit (LC) at sight is available for orders of USD 50,000 or more. We do not offer DA/DP or open-account terms until a buyer relationship has been established with multiple successful FCL shipments.
Can I pay in EUR or RMB instead of USD?
USD is our standard invoicing currency. EUR is supported for established European buyers under LC at sight or TT. RMB is available for buyers with onshore China subsidiaries. New customers typically start with USD for the first 1–2 shipments before transitioning to alternate currencies.
What payment terms work best for Indian buyers?
Standard 30% TT advance + 70% TT against BL works well, with USD as the invoicing currency. Letter of Credit at sight is also commonly used by larger Indian buyers. We provide all customs documentation (Form A GSP, HS codes for chemical imports) needed for Indian Customs clearance.
Technical Support
Do you provide formulation and dosage guidance?
Yes. Our technical team supports customers with PCE formulation recipes, dosage recommendations, trial-batch protocols, and troubleshooting for cement compatibility issues. This is especially valuable for first-time customers transitioning from another supplier or testing a new cement source.
How do I troubleshoot dosage variability or unexpected slump loss?
Most slump-loss issues trace to (a) cement chemistry change (high-C3A or high-fineness batches), (b) ambient temperature spike, or (c) admixture-aggregate interaction. Send us your concrete mix design and observed performance data — we typically diagnose and recommend dosing or formulation adjustments within 24 hours.
